Start with impressions, not just visits

Impressions show how often a page appeared in Google results. For a new B2B website, impressions often arrive before clicks and inquiries, making them an early sign that SEO is creating search opportunities.

If impressions grow but clicks stay low, review the title, description, and whether the result clearly communicates the product, specifications, and buying context.

  • Growing impressions: the page is entering search opportunities
  • Growing clicks: the page matches intent better
  • Inquiries: evidence and the CTA are doing their job

Connect average position to the landing page

Average position only becomes useful when read with queries, landing pages, and clicks. A product query ranking in positions 8–20 with early clicks may be more valuable than a brand query with no clicks.

For a factory website, identify which product pages receive real search exposure, then add specifications, MOQ, lead time, internal links, and a clear inquiry entry point.

Use data to choose the next content topic

When buyers already find you through product + wholesale, product + OEM, or product + specification queries, expand into applications, selection questions, certifications, and sample processes.

This is closer to search intent than generic company news, and it gives content traffic a useful path to product pages and the diagnosis form.
